The world-famous apostle of the Divine Mercy was born on 25 August 1905 in the village of Głogowiec. She attended school for less than 3 years. Subsequently, she worked as a charwoman in the households .When she was 20 years old, she joined the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. In the course of the 13 years she had spent in the Congregation, she stayed in a number of its houses: in Cracow (the longest), Vilno, Płock and Warsaw where she worked as a cook, gardener and gatekeeper. She was endowed with many extraordinary graces, among others with the gift of contemplation, concealed stigmata, bilocation, the gift of prophecy, of being able to read human souls, and of mystical betrophal and nuptials all of which enabled her to attain the heights of unity with God on earth. The relics of the Blessed Sr. Faustina rest upon the altar in the Sanctuary in Cracow-Łagiewniki, right under the miraculous image of Merciful Jesus.
1st day: Flight to Warsaw, Poland. Upon arrival in Warsaw we'll transfer to our hotel where there will be time to freshen up and relax a little. Before dinner we’ll attend Mass at the Chapel of the Divine Mercy where St.Faustina was accepted into the order of the Sister of Our Lady of Mercy. Overnight Warsaw.
2nd day Today we’ll tour historic and Catholic Warsaw beginning with Mass at the Church of St. Stanislaus, where Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko preached before his martyrdom. We’ll visit the historic Old Town Square, the remains of the defense walls, Royal Castle square, and Saint John’s Cathedral. We’ll also visit the famous monument to the composer Frederic Chopin. 3rd day: Departure for Czestochowa, enroute we will pray at the Plock convent where Our Lord commissioned Saint Faustina to paint the image of His Mercy. We’ll also visit Glogowiec, the village of her birth. Then we will have time for lunch and prayer at the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows, where Mary appeared in 1850. Before arriving in Czestochowa we will visit the church of Saint Casimir in Swinice where Sister Faustina was baptized. Overnight Czestochowa.
4th day: The day starts with the Holy Mass for us at the shrine of our Lady of Czestochowa before the miraculous icon of Our Lady the “Black Madonna. ”After the Mass we’ll have a special tour of the Monastery and the treasury. In the afternoon there will be time for private prayer and meditation. Overnight Czestochowa.
5th day: Today we’ll make our way to Krakow where we’ll visit the birthplace and baptismal church of our past Holy Father Pope John Paul II. On the way we’ll visit Auschwitz, the Nazi concentration camp, now a martyrdom museum. We’ll see and pray at the tiny cell where Saint Maximillian Kolbe died.Overnight Krakow.
6th day: This morning we’ll visit the convent at Lagiewniki where St. Faustina spent the last two years of her life. There will be time for us to pray before the miraculous image of the Divine Mercy and at the chapel where Saint Faustina is buried. Overnight Krakow.
7th day: After breakfast we’ll return to Warsaw. On the way we’ll visit Niepokalanow – the Immaculate City created by Maximilian Maria Kolbe. Overnight Warsaw.
8th day: Airport transfer after Mass and breakfast.
